Planning Your Website

Before creating a website, it is important to take the time to plan what is needed in the website. Thoroughly consider your audience or target market and decide what content should be developed.

This is a good time to start  gathering images you'd like to your or type up some text about your company's services, projects you'd like to highlight or even the text for your home page. Consider why you'd send someone to your website; are you a contractor who wants to show customers samples of previous work or are you a real estate firm that wants to highlight some some properties your representing? No matter what business you are in having a website can only enhance your customers experience with you.

What I'll Need From You

Before we get started please have some of the following prepared to integrate into your new site:

1.  Access to your domain and host. If you don't have one we can assist with setting everything up for you.

2. Access to your domain and host. If you don't have one we can assist with setting everything up for you.

3. A print ready logo is preferred, but any large format digital copy of your businesses artwork will ensure a consistent look. Often a PDF proof of your company letterhead will do if nothing else is available.

4.  The name of the font face used within your artwork, typically you can request this from the company that produced your letterhead.

5.  Your vision of what your completed site should look like. A few examples of sites that catch your eye will help me understand your taste.

6.  Content and copy. You will provide the text for your web pages (e.g. Employee profile, About Us page, text for your home page, etc.).

7.  Your business address, telephone number and fax number as you would like it to appear on your site.
